Multitasking hybrid connectors are
right fit for medical applications
New hybrid connectors that integrate fluidics and electronics in a
single connection point eliminate the need for multiple connections
and simplify the user interface. Using this technology, medical
professionals can quickly change or replace modular tools,
umbilicals or hand pieces that require power, signal, air or fluids
in a range of medical device applications, according to Colder
Products Co. GmbH.
The hybrid coupling set consists of a panel-mount socket and
connector with an umbilical hose containing
multiple fluid tubes and contact wires.
Featuring dry break valve technology
and high-cycle pin-and-socket electrical
contacts, the hybrid connectors also have
an ergonomic twist-to-connect collar. The
couplings can be easily customised.

the current 12. The Jetwing can be converted to the company’s
Spaceline system when production volumes increase.
