In addition, the
Xbelt does not
require vacuum
boxes. Conventional
cross-web labellers
use vacuum boxes
to hold the labels
in place before they
are applied. They
cause constant air
movement and are
difficult to clean. Xbelt technology makes vacuum boxes obsolete,
improving not just hygiene but also energy efficiency: it consumes
approximately 10% of the compressed air of conventional systems.
The Xbelt is currently available in top and base labelling versions;
a “twin” version that eliminates downtime and operates within a
small space will be available soon.
