Simulator performs six vital-signs
parameter tests simultaneously
A handheld combination vital-signs simulator from Rigel
Medical is the only device of its kind capable of performing six
synchronised vital-sign parameter tests, according to the company.
The UniSIM enables medical device engineers to rapidly conduct
NIBP, SpO2, ECG, temperature, IBP and respiration functionality
tests using a single portable instrument.
The device combines the synchronised functionality of Rigel’s
individual NIBP and SpO2 simulators with a comprehensive
patient simulator to reduce simulation times and associated costs.
While the instrument incorporates custom settings that include
a variety of paediatric and adult NIBP pressures, pulse volume
adjustments, heart rate and manufacturer-specific O curves, the
UniSIM is fully customisable to meet specific performance test
conditions.
The Bluetooth-enabled device stores simulation test results and
transmits them wirelessly to a rugged battery-operated Elite Test n
Tag printer.
